TriQuadPenta Tag Standard v1.3 – 2025
Purpose
Every TriQuadPenta work, sketch, study, render, object, or file must carry exactly one prefix tag, one primary tag, and any relevant secondary tags.
Mandatory Prefix Tag
[TriQuadPenta] is a required prefix tag on all material belonging to the project (files, posts, labels, emails, documentation). It is always written first, in square brackets, with no additional text.
Primary Tags (exactly one required)
[RESEARCH] Exploratory, experimental, often messy. Purpose: discovery, not aesthetics.
[SKETCH] Fast compositional draft with clear intention. Usually 1–15 minutes.
[STUDY] Clean, focused investigation of one specific principle or effect.
[ARTWORK] Finished, autonomous piece. Fully satisfies manifest principles [1]–[8]. Balanced, self-contained, needs no explanation.
Secondary Tags (optional, may be combined)
[DIGITAL] – created or significantly processed using software/tablet/plotter/3D programs
[ANALOG] – physical, hand-made medium (oil, acrylic, pencil, collage, spray, sculpture, etc.)
[MIXED] – significant combination of both analog and digital processes/materials
[GENERATED] – created wholly or partially by code, AI, algorithm, procedural script, plotter, etc.
[MONOCHROME] – black/white/greyscale only
[COLOR] – any use of colour
[LAYERED] – visible or implied depth through overlapping layers
[INVERSION] – deliberate use of white forms to create negative space on dark ground (or vice versa)
[PERCEPTUAL] – contains implied or emergent shapes not physically drawn
[FLAT] – strictly two-dimensional
[RANDOM] – placement, proportions, sequence, or choices determined by chance (dice, random generator, drop technique, etc.)
[3D] – exists in real three-dimensional space (physical sculpture, 3D print, VR/AR object, installation, etc.)
[SCULPTURE] – traditional physical sculpture or relief
[DOCUMENTATION] – the file is documentation (photo, video-still, render) of a physical or performative work, not the work itself
